Is there anyone who reads this?

I haven't posted here in a very long time! Other than the stuff on dA, I've been trying out new things for December... New concepts, new figures, new faces, new creatures, new colors and combinations....

Better Days

Some of my facebook graffiti this month. Wesley and I made a verbal pact to draw at least one graffiti image per day, dubbing it Graffiti Marathon. I've been using it as a way to practice using my Intuos (it hasn't come naturally to me y no nos caemos bien). However, Wes has been flaking out on me these past few days...

So this is what I've been up to. I haven't really drawn much else. AP Art Studio has been taking up most of my creative juices. No anime/manga related drawings since the beginning of the school year! But with Anime Expo about 140 days away, I've got to get started. Benedectus got the group tables, as eECaFE+. So I'm part of an official group now. How inclusive!

This year I'll be sharing a table with Kamaniki - one of the girls I roomed with at AX07. She's really great with CG. I'll have to make a large repretoire of drawings because she'll definitely outshine me. She's so young too!

I was on a hiatus from this blog, unofficially. I've decided to pick it up again to start making a log of the interesting days I have as my last year of high school slowly comes to an end, to follow my indecisiveness on my college decision, and to document my very first steps into the grown-up world. But you know me - I'll always be a kid (I still look like one too).

So, hello to better days!

Behind

So in AP Studio, the teacher gave us assignments at first, which really frustrated all the students because we thought that in this class we'd have unlimited freedom and we'd be allowed to make mistakes and screw ourselves over come May. First two projects were quite fun, third one was tedious. Then! Ms. Rogers gave us "unlimited freedom!"
Now we have free choice projects and everyone is falling behind. Perhaps assignments aren't such a bad idea... Honestly, we're supposed to be done with two free choice projects and starting on our third next week. Like that's gonna happen.
I spent a week painting a gumball machine with watercolors and got pissed off and threw the damned thing away. So now I'm behind one project.
Here's the project I'm actually working on...

Lawl, it's a portrait of my brother in his aviators, with.... color pencils? I'm really digging my own grave. The thing is like 20x30 at least (guesstimation).
I'm thinking about giving watercolors another try or acrylics next. Whatevs, I'm really behind...
Anime/Manga-wise, I haven't drawn a thing. Perhaps it's art block, perhaps I'm outgrowing it. I simply don't have time at the moment. Sometimes my hands crave to draw and doodle, but I always have to read another chapter in that horrendous AP Bio textbook (genetics&mendelism test Tuesday) or finish AP Studio work (which I never get done). And now it's college app time.
And I need to send in my UC apps tomorrow!

add a little color

Today I was googling my name out of boredom and stumbled upon this.
Someone found my tutorial useful and decided to give a shot at doing their own rendition of my drawing.
I feel so honored, someone found it useful.

Other than that, today Joanna and Ben and I went out for lunch.
Ben took us to a sushi place that started with a "K"...
I can't remember the name.
But it was one of those revolving sushi places~
I wasn't that hungry, but I ate caterpillar roll (my love).

Then we stopped by Kino's, because Jo and I haven't been out for a while.
I picked up a Pilot Color Eno (orange) and some lead refill.
On the way out, Jo spotted DBSK "Shine" photobook and bought it on the spot.

Note to self: Jo owes me $20.

Scrap & WIP Dump

scraps and works in progress that i'll probably never finish.
i totally screwed myself over by signing away my free time to bio.
it's all junk by now
will have to do another take on the concepts.
